I recently had the opportunity to travel to Miami for the South Beach Food and Wine Festival. After recovering from an over indulgence of food, wine, cocktails, and dancing, I am back on the West Coast to relish in the memories of a whirlwind weekend! I attended the Whole Foods Grand Tasting, had my photo taken with Emeril … highlight! I attended a late night event with Anne Burrell photo 4and enjoyed wine pairings with some of the best charcuterie … ever! Interestingly enough, many of the wines were from Sonoma Coast – my backyard! I attended a beach front “burger bash” with about 35 different types of burgers where my friends and I danced to a super fun band playing all the top hits, as the breeze cooled our bodies, hot from the evening air!

All in all, the weather, the sand, the beach, my hotel pool (OMG) … the music, the food, the wine all of it was well worth the 17 hours round-trip travel! In my role with both properties (Nick’s Cove and La Condesa Napa Valley) my staff and I attend many of these types of events (more locally) and I can say this was one very well organized event and one I would highly recommend to anyone.

I even found time to get into the Atlantic Ocean … twice!
